Iron Bog Champs - Rattan Champ

On July 6, we had a champions tournament in the Barony of Iron Bog.

This is the scroll that I made for the rattan champ. It was made on pergamenata with Winsor & Newton, Holbein, and Greenleaf and Blueberry gouache and watercolors. Ink is by Calli.

I picked these sources for the rattan and rapier champ scrolls because I wanted them to be similar. I haven't done an Italian WhiteVine in a while and

Source and words are below as well.

Words by Montgomery Josh:

Champions do not rise based on popularity or charm. They are forged slowly, over time from the steady flame of preparation. Of long practices in the heat and the cold. Of lessons from past Champions. Of the battles won and lost. Tempered from the sweat and fatigue and bruises along the way. Strengthened through determination. Made flexible through patience and persistence. Today we, Baron Andre and Baroness Genevera of Iron Bog, have a new Rattan Champion before us. One who fought with valor and honor, besting all others who would join our court. Therefore, at this Baronial Rattan Championship AS 59, we name <<TBD>> as our Rattan Champion.
